CalvinDude.org respects your privacy. We do not want any of your private information, and any that we do need to gather for the functioning of the website we go out of our way to obscure it in our database, to protect you if we ever get hacked.
When you create an account, we store your username, password, and e-mail in encrypted form so that if someone ever does manage to hack the database and get all the information, the only plaintext account information they will be able to read is your display name.
We also require your username to be different from your display name so that no one can try to hack your account by reading your display name and trying to log in with that. In other words, by requiring the username to be different, a hacker will need to guess two bits of information (your username and
your password) instead of just one.
CalvinDude.org will never provide your information to any third party advertisers for any reason whatsoever. We will, however, comply with legal court orders.
